Feldon Shelter

With Feldon Shelter

| 1 Mar 2018

The two owners of Feldon Shelter are “crazy, long time fans” of Driza-Bone so it was an obvious choice for us to team up with them on their first Australian road trip. Just like Driza-Bone, Feldon Shelter rooftop tents are based on quality design and construction, functionality and are made to embrace the elements; no matter what you throw at them.

When they aren’t planning adventures, navigating or ignoring maps, cooking, or travelling Beth and Joel are making some of the best rooftop tents on the market. They’re all about creating tents that are built for the harsh elements and as good looking as they are functional. So, when Beth got in contact with us, we sent them on their way with some gear for them to road test.

Here’s how they went:

"It became pretty obvious very quickly why Driza-Bone gear has stood the test of time in Australia.  We were thrashing everything day in day out, clocking up some serious miles and camp spots. Having gear that we could throw on, wear all day and trust would hold up to the cold days travels was essential.”

“Along the way we stayed pretty much everywhere; river side, rocky ridge lines, mountain tops & vast orange plains. Water, dust, wind & dirt. It didn't matter, the waxed cotton kept us clean & the wool ensured warmth. I don't think we would have lasted half as long without it to be honest.” - Beth

“My Short Coat was bang on. When it comes to camping/roaming around I need room without being restricted, so the traditional wider arm openings were perfect! I'm a layers girl so I really like the boxier fit (rather than a tailored more refined fit) as I can fit extras underneath. It's obvious the jackets remain true to their roots & I like the feeling/look as a result!" -  Beth
