When the idea was born, Globe and Driza-Bone seemed unlikely companions. After all, one company began out of necessity against the rugged Australian climate, while the other organically evolved when two skate boarding champions started creating quality skate products that they could wear themselves. Despite their different beginnings, the two Australian labels share a passion for quality, innovation, craftsmanship and practicality.
Last winter marked the third collaboration between Globe and Driza-Bone. Bonded by an appreciation for Australian styling, the collaboration married Driza-Bone’s robust detailing and iconic oilskin and wax fabrics with Globe’s knack for contemporary cuts and youthful designs. The result was two signature jackets perfect for winter layering.
The Driza-Bone Mac Jacket is made from dry wax canvas and features buttons through the coat with water resistant and breathable backing. Available in two colours, sahara and dark navy, the jacket has adjustable cuffs and side pockets.
Driza-Bone II Jacket is a fully interactive bushman jacket with a detachable hood. The garment has poplin lining, snap down storm flaps, multi patch pockets and adjustable cuffs. Available in bright orange and black, the piece is the ultimate, all-year round jacket.
To complete the collection, there was the no-holds-barred, wax canvas and action leather take on the Globe Ryker shoe – an urban hiker cross-over with outdoor styling, hand-stitched toe and heel, antique brass eyelets with hiking rope laces and heel pull loop to boot.
The Driza-Bone range is available to purchase from Globe's online store.
